Finding Home

It's been signed
The killing’s over
Let's find our family
I head home
To the place I lived
But when I arrived
I was surprised
Someone else was living there
My late neighbors shunned us
All I had left was my brother and me
And all the clothes on our backs
We had no family
But we heard of this place
South of where we are
In the middle east
The place where our ancestors were
The place now called Palestine
My brother and I decided
We had no where better to go
We put foot in front of foot
Walking day by day
We arrived in this hostile place
The British did not want us
They tried to deport us
Yet some revolutionaries came
They came and took us to the promised land
We fought for revolution
For a place to call home
